ABOUT THE BAND

Glenn Hansen was brought up around music in his early childhood.  Glenn's father, William Hansen, played for the Benny Goodman Orchestra, and it was from this setting that The Glenn Hansen Orchestra was born. 

The Glenn Hansen Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit mentoring band where our mission is to mentor gifted young performers and teach them performance technics.  The young performers practice and perform next to professionals from the music business. 

The talent within this versatile group has toured the world playing with such greats as: Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Isley Brothers, Tony Bennett, Tom Jones, Liberace, Bob Hope, Aretha Franklin and Wayne Newton and performed at the White House for 5 different presidents. Some Members are currently touring with the present day Glenn Miller Band or are members of East Coast Military bands. 

The Glenn Hansen orchestra’s showcase configuration is the 18 piece full big band featuring highly skilled and talented vocalist performers.  Depending on your events requirements the band can accommodate any occasion or location with as many or few performers as required.

Glenn is also a retired Vietnam rescue helicopter pilot, so all United States Veterans have a special place in our hearts.

The Glenn Hansen Orchestra will do anything we can to perform for the vets to show our appreciation for all they have sacrificed for all of us.
